Representative Jeff Sorrells Contact information

Jeff Sorrells (born 1959) is an American politician and a member of the Republican party. He is currently serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from the 87th District, a position he has held since 2019.

Before his tenure in the Alabama House of Representatives, Sorrells was the mayor of Hartford, Alabama. In addition to his political career, Sorrells is also a vice president of the First National Bank of Hartford, Alabama.

Sorrells assumed office on November 7, 2018. His current term ends on November 4, 2026. He ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 87 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

In terms of education, Assemblymember Sorrells graduated from Troy University with a B.A. and later graduated from Samford University Community Bankers School of Banking. In his career, he served as vice president and lender of First National Bank of Hartford. In addition to these positions, he has also sat on the board of the Wiregrass Economic Development Corporation Board and the Geneva County Gas District Board.

Over the years, Sorrells has been assigned to various committees. For the years 2023-2024, Sorrells was assigned to the following committees: Agriculture and Forestry Committee, House Education Policy Committee, Insurance Committee, and Transportation, Utilities and Infrastructure Committee.
