Andi Story is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 3 in the Alaska House of Representatives. She assumed office on January 17, 2023, and her current term ends on January 21, 2025.

Andi Story is a dedicated public servant who has been living in Juneau, Alaska for over 30 years. She has raised her three children, Ellen, Mallory, and Ryan, in Juneau while her husband Mike ran a small engineering firm.

Story has a strong commitment to education, having served on the Juneau School Board for 15 years. She has consistently advocated for an increased focus on education and equity in Alaska schools before the legislature. Her advocacy work extends beyond the school board as she is a co-founder of Great Alaska Schools and has served as president of the Alaska Association of School Boards.

In addition to her work in education, Story has a Masters in Social Work and has volunteered with the P.E.O. and the Northern Lights United Church. She enjoys walking outdoors, cross-country skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Story is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 3 in the Alaska House of Representatives. She assumed office on January 17, 2023, and her current term ends on January 21, 2025. Prior to her current position, she held office in Alaska House of Representatives District 34.

Born in Olivia, Minnesota, Story graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1977. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Moorhead State University in 1982 and a master’s degree in social work from San Diego State University in 1990.

Story’s career experience includes working as a family counselor and educator with Catholic Community Services. She has also served as the liaison to the Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council, and a commissioner on the Alaska Commission on Post Secondary Education.

Throughout her tenure, Story has been assigned to various committees including the House Education Committee, House State Affairs Committee, House Labor & Commerce Committee, and House Transportation Committee. She has sponsored numerous bills, demonstrating her active role in the legislative process.

Story ran for re-election to the Alaska House of Representatives to represent District 3 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
