Representative Kevin Chambliss - Contact Information

Kevin D. Chambliss, born on June 8, 1981, in Columbus, Mississippi, is an American politician serving as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from the 117th district. He assumed office on November 3, 2020.

Chambliss was born in Columbus, Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Jackson State University. After his education, Chambliss worked as a field organizer for the Florida Democratic Party and as the South Dade political director for Joe Garcia’s 2012 congressional campaign. He later worked as a congressional liaison for Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and Donna Shalala.

Chambliss was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in November 2020. He is a member of the House State Affairs Committee. In addition to his political career, Chambliss has also served as a government aide.

Chambliss resides in Homestead, Florida with his wife, Leah Chambliss of Miami, FL. They have four children: Montrell Johnson, Adam Chambliss, Mia Johnson, Kevin Chambliss Jr, and Kayla Chambliss.

In his legislative service, Chambliss was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2020 and was subsequently reelected. He has been a part of various committees including the Government Operations Subcommittee, State Affairs Committee, Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee, Criminal Justice & Public Safety Subcommittee, and State Legislative Redistricting Subcommittee.

Chambliss moved to Florida in 2010 and identifies as a Christian.
