Representative Kiyan Michael - Contact Information

Kiyan Michael is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 16 in the Florida House of Representatives. She assumed office on November 8, 2022, and her current term ends on November 5, 2024. She is running for re-election to continue representing District 16 and has declared her candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on August 20, 2024.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Kiyan Michael’s career experience includes working as a credit manager. She is the wife of a retired Navy veteran and was a member of the Black Voices for Trump Advisory Board. Michael has also provided commentary on immigration policy for Fox News.

In the 2022 general election for Florida House of Representatives District 16, Kiyan Michael defeated Richard Hartley and Harley Moore. She received 99.6% of the votes, a total of 52,145 votes.

As a member of the Florida House of Representatives, Michael serves on several committees. For the 2023-2024 term, she was assigned to the Collective Bargaining Committee, Choice & Innovation Subcommittee, Joint Select Committee on Collective Bargaining, Children, Families & Seniors Subcommittee, Criminal Justice Subcommittee, PreK-12 Appropriations Subcommittee, and Transportation & Modals Subcommittee.

Outside of her political career, Kiyan Michael enjoys gardening, hiking, and reading. She is a Christian by faith.
