Beth Ballard for Representative
Bethany Ballard, a member of the Republican Party, is a representative in the Georgia House of Representatives for District 147. She assumed office on January 9, 2023, and her current term is set to end on January 13, 2025.
Bethany Ballard lives in Warner Robins, Georgia. Her career experience includes owning a business named Absolute Campaign Strategies. She also served as a vice chair of the Houston County Republican Party.
Bethany Ballard ran for election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 147 and won in the general election held on November 8, 2022. In this election, she defeated Ariel Phillips and secured 55.8% of the votes, which amounted to 11,175 votes.
Before becoming active in politics, Bethany Ballard was an educator. She taught high school English at her husband’s various duty stations. She received a BA in English Literature from the University of North Carolina and an MA in English from the University of Central Arkansas.
Bethany Ballard and her husband, Mike, chose to make Warner Robins their home over a decade ago when he was transferred to Robins Air Force Base. They were married in 1996 and have two children, Braden and Preston, who attend Houston County Public Schools. They are members of Perry United Methodist Church and are all active in the various ministries of the church. Bethany is the Acolyte Coordinator and serves on the church’s scholarship committee.
As a legislator, Bethany Ballard has been assigned to the following committees for the 2023-2024 term: Defense and Veterans Affairs Committee, Education Committee, and Special Rules Committee, where she serves as Vice Chair.
