About Senator Bo Hatchett - Republican Representative of Georgia
Senator Bo Hatchett, a Republican, was elected to represent the 50th District in the Georgia Senate. His district includes Banks, Franklin, Habersham, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, and portions of Hall, Jackson, and White Counties.
In the Senate, Sen. Hatchett serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Children and Families and Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Reapportionment and Redistricting. He also serves as a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Ethics, Health and Human Services, and Judiciary. Since 2021, he has served as an Administration Floor Leader for Governor Brian Kemp.
Sen. Hatchett is a native of Habersham County and a graduate of Habersham Central. He received his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his law degree from the University of Georgia. After receiving his degree, he returned home to Habersham County where he now practices law in Cornelia, Georgia at the law offices of McDonald & Cody.
A resident of Cornelia, Georgia, Senator Hatchett and his wife Ashley are the proud parents of four daughters: Hallie, Hazel, Heidi, and Hope.
