Mike Vondran is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 94 in the Iowa House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. He won the general election on November 8, 2022.

Mike Vondran graduated from Hempstead High School in 1979. His career experience includes working as the CEO of TAG Communications. He is known for his leadership and commitment to the community. He has served on numerous community boards over the past 37 years including the Great Mississippi Valley Fair, Junior Achievement of the Heartland, Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, Trinity Health Foundation, Downtown Davenport Partnership, and Greater Davenport Redevelopment Corporation.

In addition to his professional and community service, Mike Vondran also founded the HAVlife™ Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that serves the needs of area at-risk youth. He is committed to making Iowa the best place in the nation for young people to grow, learn, earn, and raise families. He believes that young Iowans represent only 25% of our state’s population but they are 100% of our future.

Mike Vondran is focused on growing a vibrant economy in the Eastern Iowa region and building a recognition, appreciation, and understanding of the value that this region adds to the entire State of Iowa. He believes that a competitive, innovative business environment is essential to grow our State.

In terms of accountability, Mike Vondran believes in sound management of taxpayer’s dollars, eliminating wasteful spending, and balancing the budget. He believes that hard decisions need to be made and priorities set – all of which should align with the needs of Iowans.

As a future-focused representative, Mike Vondran is committed to ensuring that all young Iowans have access to basic services to promote positive mental and physical health. His vision is for Iowa to be the best place to learn, earn, and grow.
