Silas Miller is a member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 86. He is a member of the Democratic Party. His tenure began on January 9, 2023, and his current term ends on January 13, 2025. He ran for election to the Kansas House of Representatives to represent District 86 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Silas Miller lives in Wichita, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. His career experience includes working as an insurance broker with Family First Life. He is a secular humanist by religion.

In terms of his political career, he has been assigned to several committees in the Kansas House of Representatives. These include the House Education Committee, the House Federal and State Affairs Committee, and the Insurance Committee.

Some of these include HB2162, which provides for a sales tax exemption for hygiene products, HB2341, which declares Juneteenth National Independence Day to be a legal public holiday and closes state offices for certain legal public holidays, and HB2367, which creates the adult use cannabis regulation act to regulate the cultivation, manufacturing, possession, and sale of cannabis in this state.

In the 2022 elections, Silas Miller defeated Rick Lindsey in the general election for Kansas House of Representatives District 86. He received 57.8% of the votes, amounting to 2,527 votes.

Before his political career, Silas Miller was a product of Wichita Public Schools and a USMC Veteran. After serving our Nation, Silas chose to return to Wichita to pursue a cosmetology and barbering education career. Silas and his wife, Bailey, are proud residents of the East Front Neighborhood.
