Representative Chuck Owen - Contact Information

Charles Anthony Owen, known as Chuck Owen, is a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 30. He assumed office on January 13, 2020. His current term ends on January 10, 2028.

Owen is a member of the Republican Party. He won re-election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 30 outright in the primary on October 14, 2023.

Owen was born and raised in Vernon Parish. After graduating from Leesville High School, he attended Louisiana Tech University where he earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in 1984 and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1986. He later earned his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in 2011.

After college, Owen served as an Air Force officer for 20 years, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and deploying to four different wartime engagements. His professional experience also includes working as a defense consultant for 13 years.

In the House of Representatives, Owen serves on the Education, Judiciary, and Transportation committees. He also serves on the House Select Committee for Military and Veteran Affairs. Owen’s commitment to service and his extensive experience in various fields have made him a valuable member of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
