Michael Robert “Mike” Bayham, Jr. is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 103 in the Louisiana House of Representatives. He was elected to this position in 2023 and is eligible to serve through the 2032 term.

Mike Bayham was born in Louisiana and currently resides in Chalmette, Louisiana. He graduated from Holy Cross High School and later earned a B.A. in journalism with a minor in political science and history from Louisiana State University.

Before his election to the Louisiana House of Representatives, Bayham had a diverse career. He worked as a legislative aide with the Louisiana State Senate and the Louisiana Department of Revenue’s Department of Public Affairs. He was also elected to the Republican State Central Committee, serving on the executive committee and as secretary. Additionally, he served as a St. Bernard Parish councilman from 2001 to 2004.

In the Louisiana House of Representatives, Bayham represents parts of St. Bernard Parish. His district office is located at 100 Port Boulevard Suite 40, Chalmette, LA 70043. He serves on several committees, including House and Governmental Affairs, Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs, Ways and Means, and the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay. He is also a member of the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation.

In the 2023 elections, Bayham ran for election to represent District 103. He won in the general election held on November 18, 2023. His current term in office began on January 8, 2024, and will end on January 10, 2028.
