Senator Becky Beard - Contact Information

Becky Beard, born on June 22, 1960, is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 40 in the Montana State Senate. She assumed office on January 2, 2022, and her current term ends on January 6, 2025.

Before her tenure in the Senate, Beard served in the Montana House of Representatives from the 80th district since 2017. She ran for re-election to the Montana House of Representatives to represent District 80 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. However, she resigned from the Montana House of Representatives after she was appointed to the Montana State Senate.

During her time in office, Beard has been assigned to several committees. In the 2023-2024 legislative session, she served on the Highways and Transportation Committee, Public Health, Welfare and Safety Committee, and Senate Taxation Committee. In the 2021-2022 session, she served on the House Rules Committee, House Taxation Committee (as Chair), Agriculture Committee, and House Education Committee.
