Representative Lee Deming - Contact Information

Lee Deming is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 55 in the Montana House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 2, 2023, and his current term ends on January 6, 2025. Deming ran for election to the Montana House of Representatives to represent District 55 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Deming was born in Helena, Montana, and currently resides in Laurel. He graduated from Helena High School in 1974, earned a bachelor’s degree in social science from Carroll College in 1978, and a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from the University of Montana in 1987. His career experience includes working as an educator with Laurel Public Schools.

In the 2023 legislative session, Deming sponsored several bills, although some of them died in the process or in standing committee. He served on several committees including the House Education Committee, Fish, Wildlife and Parks Committee, House Judiciary Committee, and House Legislative Administration Committee, where he served as Vice Chair.
