About Senator Steve Fitzpatrick - Republican Representative of Montana
Steve Fitzpatrick is a member of the Republican Party and currently serves as a member of the Montana State Senate, representing District 10. He assumed office in 2017 and his current term ends on January 6, 2025. Fitzpatrick ran for re-election to the Montana State Senate to represent District 10 and won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Before being elected to the Senate, Fitzpatrick served in the Montana House of Representatives for the 20th district from 2011 to 2017. He began serving as state Senate majority leader in 2023.
Fitzpatrick was born on December 2, 1978, in Helena, Montana. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Montana State University and then went to law school at Arizona State University. He was a law clerk for Judge Thomas Honzel of the Montana First Judicial District Court. Fitzpatrick is a lawyer with the law firm of Browning, Kaleczyc, Berry & Hoven, P.C. He and his wife Julia are the parents of three daughters.
