Rebecca "Becky" Whitley was born on March 18, 1980. She is an American politician who has served in the New Hampshire Senate from the 15th district since 2020. As a member of the Democratic Party, she represents the state capital, Concord, as well as Hopkinton, Penacook, and Bow.

Rebecca “Becky” Whitley was born on March 18, 1980. She is an American politician who has served in the New Hampshire Senate from the 15th district since 2020. As a member of the Democratic Party, she represents the state capital, Concord, as well as Hopkinton, Penacook, and Bow.

Before serving as a senator, Whitley worked as an attorney for the New Hampshire Disability Rights Center, a consultant for the Environmental Defense Fund, and the Policy Director for the Children’s Behavioral Health Collaborative. She has devoted herself to helping women, children, and working families through her various roles.

Whitley is a graduate of George Washington University School of Business where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). She also holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Vermont Law School.

In the New Hampshire Senate, Whitley has co-sponsored legislation to ban no-knock warrants, limit the usage of school resource officers, and increase the state minimum wage. She supports reproductive freedom, the expansion of Medicaid, clean energy policies, and state education funding reform.

For the 2020-2022 term, Whitley has been assigned to the Administrative Rules committee, the Health and Human Services committee, and the Judiciary committee. She continues to serve in these committees for the 2023-2024 term as well.

In addition to her work in the state senate, Whitley is running for election to the U.S. House to represent New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District. She declared her candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on September 10, 2024.

Whitley resides in Hopkinton, New Hampshire with her husband and son. Her career and family life are deeply rooted in the district, and she continues to serve her community with dedication and passion.
