Charles Melvin Sr., commonly known as Charlie Melvin, is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Republican Party. He represents Rockingham 20 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024.

Charlie Melvin has a rich history of service to his community. Before his tenure in the House of Representatives, he served in various local government roles. He has 30 years of experience on the Planning Board and 15 years on the Zoning Board of Adjustments. He also served two terms as a Board of Selectman.

In addition to his political career, Charlie Melvin is a successful business owner. He owns and operates C & M Auto Repair with his son. This small business has been serving the community for over 52 years.

Charlie Melvin’s commitment to his constituents and conservative principles is evident in his voting record. He consistently votes conservatively, with a record of 97-100%. His dedication to public service has been recognized with several awards, including the General John Stark Protector of Freedom Award, which he received for the last three years, and the American Conservative Union Foundation for Excellence award.

Charlie Melvin holds a bachelor’s degree in history. His interests include reading, law, politics and history, collecting antiques, and traveling. He previously served as a NH State Representative from 2017-2020 and served on the House Transportation Committee.
