John R. Cloutier, born on November 15, 1957, in Claremont, New Hampshire, is an American politician serving in the state of New Hampshire. He is a member of the Democratic Party and has been representing the Sullivan 10 district in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since his first election in 1992.

Cloutier’s early life was spent in Claremont, where he graduated from Stevens High School. He furthered his education at Keene State College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1979.

Before embarking on his political career, Cloutier worked as a security officer with RCB Security. He also served as a substitute teacher in the Claremont, Cornish, and Unity New Hampshire School Districts, contributing to the education sector in his community.

In his political career, Cloutier has held various positions within the Democratic Party and the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He has served as chair, vice chair, and secretary of the Sullivan County Democrats. He has also been the clerk of the House Public Works and Highways Committee and the chair of the Long Range Capitol Planning and Utilization Committee. Additionally, he has volunteered for the Democratic Candidate Campaign and served as the secretary of Claremont-Unity Democrats.
