Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, Juliet Smith now resides in Manchester, New Hampshire. She completed her high school education at Middlebury High School. Furthering her education, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Truman State and a Master of Education degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Before her political career, Juliet Smith worked as an educator, teaching fifth grade and special education. This experience has fueled her interest in the students of New Hampshire and the financing of schools.

In the 2022 elections, Juliet Smith ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Hillsborough 18. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Beyond her role as a legislator, Juliet Smith is deeply interested in a variety of issues affecting New Hampshire. Her major priority is education, both the curriculum and funding, as she believes in finding ways to keep young people in New Hampshire, instead of moving away. She is also an advocate for rights for all’minorities, women, etc.
