Sallie Fellows for Representative
Sallie Fellows is a dedicated and experienced member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing the Grafton 8 district. She assumed office on December 5, 2018, and has been serving her constituents with commitment and integrity.
Born and raised in New Hampshire, Sallie has a deep connection to her community. She was born in Keene and moved to Plymouth when her parents purchased Buckland Flowers on Emerson Street. Later, she moved from Plymouth to Holderness in 1987. Sallie has been working since the age of 13, beginning with summer jobs to earn money for college.
Sallie’s educational background is extensive and diverse. She is a Plymouth High School graduate of 1970. She then attended Skidmore College where she earned a BA in Psychology. She furthered her education at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, earning a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration. She also holds a School Business Administrator Graduate Certificate from Southern New Hampshire University.
In addition to her political career, Sallie has served her country as a Sergeant in the United States Army, where she was a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal. Her professional career is equally impressive. On November 6, 2018, Sallie was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. She is a Democrat and has endorsed Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries.
Sallie has extensive experience with NH demographic, education, and finance data. She has worked as a US Census taker, held several positions at Plymouth State College including Analyst for Institutional Research, and served as the Business Administrator for Somersworth & Rollinsford School Districts. She also worked at the NH Department of Education as a systems analyst, financial analyst, and administrator for 30 years.
In her leisure time, Sallie enjoys hiking, scouting for brook trout, kayaking, gardening, dog training and agility, travel, and art. She continues to reside in Holderness, New Hampshire, serving her community and state with dedication and passion.
