Timothy Horrigan is a prominent figure in New Hampshire politics. He is a member of the Democratic Party and currently represents the Strafford 10 district in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024.

Born on October 3, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, U.S., Horrigan has a rich educational background. He graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon School in 1975. He then went on to earn his B.A. in English from Columbia University in 1979. He further pursued his education and obtained a M.A. in English and Comparative Literature in 1982. In 1984, he earned his MBA in Marketing Management from the University of Southern California.

Horrigan’s political career is marked by his dedication to public service. He first ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent the Strafford 7 district in 2008 and won the election. However, he resigned in 2010 over his remarks on Facebook against Sarah Palin. Despite this setback, he later ran and won the election in 2010 to represent Strafford 6 and has served in the position since.

In addition to his political career, Horrigan has also been involved in various roles such as the town vice-chair of the Durham Democratic Committee; city chair for Lebanon, New Hampshire Democratic Committee; campaign staff of the Dukakis for President Committee; and volunteer for Democracy for America, Edwards for President Campaign, and MoveOn.org.

Horrigan’s life extends beyond his political career. He was born in South Bend, Indiana. His father was an accounting and finance professor at the University of New Hampshire and served as a state representative during the 1980s.

Throughout his career, Horrigan has demonstrated a commitment to serving his community and making a positive impact through his role in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
