Shama Haider (born December 20, 1948) is a Democratic Party politician who represents the 37th legislative district in the New Jersey General Assembly. She assumed office on January 11, 2022, and has been serving alongside Ellen Park. Early Life and Background
Born and raised in Pakistan, Shama Haider attended the University of Punjab. During her time in Pakistan, she served as Secretary to the First Lady of Pakistan, Nusrat Bhutto. In 1977, she emigrated to the United States, where she would later embark on a successful political career.
