Donna Henderson
Donna Henderson is a dedicated and experienced member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 9B. She assumed office on December 1, 2022, and her current term ends on December 1, 2026.
Early Life and Education
Donna Henderson earned an Associate of Arts degree from North Dakota State College of Science.
Career
Before her political career, Henderson worked as a dental hygienist. She has also served as the secretary of the Cavalier County Farm Bureau.
Political Career
Henderson’s political journey began 28 years ago when she attended her first political meeting. Since then, she has been very involved in her local district, including serving on the Executive committee for the last 12 years. She has also served in many different positions within the Republican Party and has attended the last four national conventions to elect a presidential candidate.
Henderson has been actively involved in legislative issues for the past 17 years. She has researched and testified for or against various pieces of legislation and has even helped with a bill from start to finish - drafting, getting sponsors, testifying, lobbying to get it passed in both houses, and getting the Governor’s signature.
Personal Life
Henderson has been married to Paul for 38 years, and they have six children and five grandchildren. They live in Calvin, North Dakota.
District 9B
District 9B, which Henderson represents, is a part of North Dakota. As of the 2020 Census, North Dakota state representatives represented an average of 8,295 residents. After the 2010 Census, each member represented 7,190 residents.
Vision and Goals
Henderson believes in keeping government regulations as minimal as possible and tax burdens as low as possible, and to ensure a level playing field for everyone to follow the same rules. She is committed to representing the interests of her constituents and working towards the betterment of her community and state.
