Ronald Sorvaag is a distinguished member of the North Dakota State Senate, representing District 45. He is a member of the Republican Party and has been serving in office since 2010. His current term is set to end on December 1, 2026.

Sorvaag is a small business owner by profession. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Concordia College. His commitment to public service is evident from his past roles as Commissioner of the Fargo Park District and Director of the Prosper Farmers Elevator. He has also been a member of the Fargo/Moorhead/West Fargo Chamber of Commerce.
