Senator Ángel Antonio Toledo López - Contact Information

Dr. Ángel Toledo López completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico. He continued his Master’s and Doctoral studies at Penn State University, where he specialized in American Politics and Research Methodology. Subsequently, he returned to Puerto Rico and was admitted to the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. During that time, he balanced his professional career as a professor and law student, both full-time. After litigating in the courts of Puerto Rico for over a decade, he moved to Washington D.C. to take on a new role as Academic Director of Ana G. Méndez University, where he had worked for just over 10 years. He completed a Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education and Teaching English as a Second Language at the American College of Education, and an Executive Leadership certificate from Cornell University. He returned to Puerto Rico and served as Vice-Chancellor and Rector of Ana G. Méndez University until he was appointed Undersecretary of the Department of Education. He holds the rank of Professor in Socio-Humanistic Sciences at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.

He currently serves as a Senator at Large in Puerto Rico; he is the Chairman of the Government Committee and Chairman of the Joint Commission for the Review and Implementation of Administrative Regulations.
