Senator Emilio Carlo - Contact Information

Emilio Carlo Acosta was born in the old Cabo Rojo hospital. Pure-blooded Caborrojeño, with a vocation for volunteering and serving the nation, proudly wearing the uniform of the United States Armed Forces for more than three decades.

Carlo Acosta has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Political Sciences, with a concentration in Public Administration and Accounting from the Universidad Interamericana San Germán Campus. Additionally, courses approved in the Master of Business Administration and Finance degree, including Management Development at National University College.

He has taken seminars on Parliamentary Processes and Draft Laws in the House of Representatives, among other courses with a legislative focus.

His time in public service includes having served as Municipal Legislator, Assistant to the Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Cabo Rojo, Director of Field and Citizen Service for the Senate of Puerto Rico, Coordinator and Interim Regional Director for the Department of Housing, Director Auxiliary Investigative Internal Corporate Security at the Island level in the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority and more recently, as Assistant Senior Director of the Western Region of Mayagüez Area in the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority.

He was an active member of the United States Army, he also belonged to the Army Reserve and the National Guard of Puerto Rico. During his career, he reached the rank of First Active Sergeant. He finally retired, after 30 years of service, with the rank of Master Sergeant E-8. DRAFT One of its most notable facets is volunteering. For the past 20 years, he has worked to improve the quality of life of the communities in the southwest area of the Island through his work in several non-profit organizations, among which is the Cabo Rojo Lions Club, which he presided over, as was the Zone Chief of the Lions Clubs of District 51-West. On the other hand, he served as Vice Commander American Legion Position Number 47. He is a life member of the Puerto Rico Chapter of Foreign Wars.He was a member of the Fishing Village of Puerto Real in Cabo Rojo and the Crusade of Faith and Hope of the Crea Homes, among others.

On November 5, 2024, he was elected Representative for District Number 20, which includes the municipalities of Cabo Rojo, San Germán and Hormigueros.
