Senator Juan Morales Rodríguez - Contact Information

Senator Juan Oscar Morales Rodríguez was born on January 6, 1972, in the town of Jayuya. He is a product of the public school system in his hometown and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ponce and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix. Married and a proud father of three young adults, he feels the responsibility to fight for a more equitable Puerto Rico, safeguarding the rights of the most vulnerable and always prioritizing the well-being of all Puerto Ricans. From 1997 to 2009, he worked for the Puerto Rico Health Insurance Administration (ASES), where he succeeded in implementing the Health Reform throughout Puerto Rico. He also worked at the State Elections Commission in the Office of the New Progressive Party Commissioner. He was also the Human Resources Director of the Public Corporation for the Supervision and Insurance of Cooperatives of Puerto Rico (COSSEC). His political career has been defined since the 2016 elections, where he was elected as the representative for District Number 3 of San Juan. During that four-year term, he served as chairman of the Health Committee of the House of Representatives, where he performed outstanding and responsible oversight work. In 2020, he was re-elected for a second term in the House of Representatives and served as the Minority Spokesperson for the Treasury and Budget Committee and the Minority Spokesperson for the Health Committee. In September 2022, he was elected in a special primary as Senator for District 1 (San Juan, Guaynabo, and Aguas Buenas), where he served on several committees, including: the Life and Family Affairs Committee; the Ethics Committee; and the Innovation, Telecommunications, Urbanism, and Infrastructure Committee, among others. In 2024, he was re-elected for a second term in the Senate of Puerto Rico. Currently, he chairs the Health Committee and the Ethics Committee of the Senate of Puerto Rico.
