Senator Ricardo Rey Ocasio Ramos - Contact Information

Ricardo Rey Ocasio Ramos was born on November 1, 1967 in the capital city of San Juan. He completed his studies, both in primary and secondary grades in the public education system, managing to graduate from the Ramón Vila Mayo higher school located in the Río Piedras sector.

He completed university studies at the San Juan University College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.

From early in his training, Ocasio Ramos distinguished himself for his unwavering desire to help the most needy communities in the Capital City, identifying alternatives to overcome challenges and address concerns. That vocation has continued latent throughout his professional career.

He has worked as a Citizen Assistance official in the Department of Transportation and Public Works in the Municipality of San Juan. He then worked as Director of Auxiliary Service in the Senate of Puerto Rico, which placed him in contact with the situations faced by the constituents of the Capital City. His work and performance led him to reach the position of Special Assistant to the Secretary in the Department of Housing from where he evaluated and presented alternatives to meet the need for accessible housing for families with limited economic resources.

Community volunteering continues to be one of his great passions, which is why he carries out community work through the Las Américas Lions Club, District Number 51, among other non-profit organizations

On November 5, 2024, he was elected Representative for District Number 2, which includes part of the Municipality of San Juan. He was appointed to chair the Commission for Older Adults and Social Welfare.
