Senator Wanda Del Valle Correa - Contact Information

Wanda Del Valle Correa was born on January 5, 1971, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. She has been an adopted daughter of the municipality of Carolina for more than twenty years. She is married, the mother of four daughters, and grandmother to four grandchildren. Educated in Puerto Rico’s public school system, she is a veteran of the United States Army, where she served for fourteen years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Criminal Justice, a minor in Accounting, and a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Accounting. Her professional career is as an Accountant at the University of Puerto Rico, and she also serves as a university professor. She is the founder of the nonprofit organization Breaking Barriers, Reaching Blessings, dedicated to combating domestic violence. In 2016, she ran for the position of Representative for District 38, winning the primary as the official candidate of the New Progressive Party, though she was not elected in the general election. In 2017, she was appointed Regional Director of the Department of Housing in Carolina. In 2020, she once again sought the position of Representative, won the primary, and was elected to represent District 38, which includes the municipalities of Carolina, Trujillo Alto, and Canóvanas. She currently serves on the Committees on Women’s Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, and Education, Art, and Culture. Her personal interests include serving others, spending time with her family, and worshiping God. She is an animal lover and a steadfast advocate for women’s rights.
