Representative Patricia A. Morgan (R-Dist. 26, West Warwick, Coventry, Warwick) was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2020 after previously serving in the House of Representatives from 2011 through 2018.

Representative Patricia A. Morgan (R-Dist. 26, West Warwick, Coventry, Warwick) was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2020 after previously serving in the House of Representatives from 2011 through 2018. She is a member of the House Environment and Natural Resources Committee, the House Small Business Committee, the House Special Legislation Committee, and the House Municipal Government and Housing Committee.

Many of the issues she has advocated for have been enacted into law, including the exclusion of Social Security from state income taxes, eliminating the car tax, cracking down on EBT fraud, Medicaid reform, regulatory and estate tax reform, and eliminating the state sales tax on liquor and wine. She spearheaded a study of the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority and opposed highway tolls.

Employed as a financial advisor, she has previously worked as a special education teacher at both Ponaganset Middle School and Cranston High School West.

Representative Morgan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Kent State University and she has a Master’s degree in education from Rhode Island College. She also has a principal’s certificate from Providence College and attended Mississippi State University.

Representative Morgan has been involved with a number of organizations, including the Pawtuxet Valley Rotary. She was the President of the National Federation of Republican Women’s Rhode Island chapter and the former chair of the Rhode Island Republican Party. She is also a former member of the West Warwick Zoning Board. She is also the founder of the Riverwalk/ Royal Mills Restoration Project, and was previously involved with the Cub Scouts, the Hearthstone Lions and Common Cause.

She is the mother three sons, Bernie, Stephen and Brian, all employed in private industry. She has resided in West Warwick for 40 years.​
