ALLEN R. “PENNY” DEMAR was born in St. Albans, Vermont in 1952. He attended Montgomery Elementary School in Montgomery Center, Vermont and Enosburg High School in Enosburg Falls, Vermont, graduating in 1970. He previously owned and operated a local meat market providing sales and custom services, and he is a retired rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Penny taught hunter safety training for the State of Vermont for 39 years. He served on the Enosburg Development Review Board and Planning Commission, the Enosburg Falls School Board, and on the Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union Board. He enjoys golfing, hunting, traveling around the State, and hiking in the woods. He also likes to attend local sporting events and activities that his grandchildren participate in. He was married to Deborah Kennison of Enosburg for 48 years, and together they raised three children and six grandchildren. He lives in Enosburgh Falls.
