About Representative Carolyn Branagan - Republican Representative of Vermont
CAROLYN BRANAGAN was born in Windsor, Vermont. She attended public elementary and high school in Windsor before heading off to the University of Vermont where she earned her BS in 1976 and her MEd in 1982. She taught elementary school in both Fairfax and Fairfield and was principal of Fairfield Elementary School until 1984. Carolyn has been a volunteer at the Vermont Maple Festival, the St. Albans Soup Kitchen, the St. Albans Homeless Shelter and with Friends of the Northern Lake. She has served on the Town of Georgia School Board, the Selectboard, and as Town Moderator. In 2010, Carolyn was selected as Vermont Mother of the Year, and she has served on the Franklin County Home Health Board, the University of Vermont Board of Trustees, and the boards of the Georgia Historical Society and the Vermont State Historical Society. She is active in her church and enjoys cooking, gardening, and genealogy. She has three grown children and three grandchildren. She and her husband, Chris, live in Georgia.
