Kari Dolan, an American politician affiliated with the Democratic Party, serves as a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing the Washington-2 District. She assumed office on January 4, 2023.

KARI DOLAN was first elected in November 2018 and serves on the Appropriations Committee. She had served as the clerk for the Natural Resources, Fish and Wildlife Committee. Kari is an appointed member to the Lake Champlain Citizens Advisory Committee on Lake Champlain’s Future, part of the federal Lake Champlain Basin Program. She is a member of the Rural Economic Development Working Group, the Social Equity Caucus, Older Vermonters Caucus. She is also a member of the Climate Solutions Caucus where she focuses on flood and climate resilience topics. For over three decades, Kari worked in the environmental management field, working on water resources management and civil rights compliance. She was manager of the Vermont Clean Water Initiative Program, the Vermont Coordinator of the National Flood Insurance Program, the State River Corridor and Floodplain Manager, and the Water Resources Project Manager at the National Wildlife Federation’s Vermont office. Kari also worked as a hearing officer and analyst at the Vermont Public Utilities Commission. She is an alumna of the University of Vermont Snelling Leadership Institute. Her community activities include four years on the Waitsfield Select Board, and many years on the Waitsfield Planning Commission. She is a member of the Mad River Valley Rotary Club, the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce, and she is a past board member of the Mad River Valley Planning District and the Friends of the Mad River. Kari holds a degree in biology from Princeton University and two master’s degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, one in science and one in public policy. In addition, she spent many years coaching youth soccer and lacrosse. She and her husband, Chach Curtis, have two grown children.
