Biography
Paul Clifford was born and raised in Rutland, Vermont. He has dedicated much of his life to serving his community in various capacities. For many years, Paul worked at FW Webb Company as a waterworks sales representative, where he gained extensive experience in the industry.
Paul’s commitment to public service is evident through his numerous roles in local government. He has served on the Rutland City Board of Aldermen, the Rutland Town Selectboard, and as Public Works Commissioner and Highway Foreman for the Rutland Department of Public Works. His leadership and dedication have significantly contributed to the development and maintenance of public infrastructure in Rutland.
In addition to his professional and public service roles, Paul has been actively involved in youth sports. He has coached AAU basketball and served as an assistant varsity basketball coach for Rutland High School. His passion for sports and mentoring young athletes has had a positive impact on the community.
Paul lives in Rutland with his wife, Lisa. They have three adult children. In his free time, Paul enjoys golfing, hunting, and ATV riding. His love for the outdoors and active lifestyle reflects his deep connection to the Vermont landscape.
Paul Clifford was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2023 and has been serving the Rutland-4 district since then. He is a member of the House Committee on Environment and Energy, where he works on legislation that addresses environmental issues and promotes sustainable energy solutions.
