Lisa Callan proudly represents the 5th Legislative District – including Snoqualmie, North Bend, Issaquah, Maple Valley, Black Diamond, Carnation, Fall City, and parts of Sammamish and unincorporated King County – in the Washington State House of Representatives

Lisa Callan is a Democratic member of the Washington Legislature representing the State’s 5th House district for position 2. She has held office since 2019 after being elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2020. Before her political career, Lisa served as both an elected member and president of the Issaquah School Board. Her background also includes work in the private sector as an engineer and project manager at Boeing.

As a legislator, Lisa has been an active voice for Washington families, schools, youth, and community investment. She serves as a vice chair of the House Capital Budget Committee, where she helps develop and direct investments in Washington construction and infrastructure projects, bringing opportunity and jobs to communities across the state. Additionally, Lisa co-chairs the Children & Youth Behavioral Health Work Group, leading a large coalition of stakeholders focused on improving behavioral health services and strategies for children, youth, families, and caregivers. Through this work, she has championed policies in mental health, substance use, suicide prevention, workforce development, and perinatal-to-young-adult behavioral healthcare.

Lisa’s commitment to public service extends beyond her legislative duties. She has received recognition for her advocacy and leadership, including being named Advocate for Affordable Housing by Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County, Champion of the Year by the Children’s Campaign Fund, and Champion for Children by the Save the Children Action Network.
