Representative Dora Drake Contact information

Dora Drake is a born and raised Milwaukeean who grew up in the Graceland neighborhood. She was accepted into the Educational Opportunities Program at Marquette University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Welfare and Justice in 2015. As a first-generation student, Dora now focuses on tangible policies and strives to create results people can see in their daily lives.

Her commitment extends beyond just being a representative for the 11th District, which is located on the north side of Milwaukee and includes parts of Glendale, WI. Dora enjoys connecting with her constituents, listening to their concerns, and supporting their aspirations. She actively collaborates with community leaders at the local and state level to implement tangible solutions that her community can see and feel. Her work centers around literacy and opportunities for youth, economic stability for families, criminal justice initiatives, and creating a space for vital re-entry services.

Dora Drake’s career experience includes working as a pretrial case manager with JusticePoint and as a member service coordinator with the Center for Self-Sufficiency. She is also a trauma-informed response facilitator and a sales representative. Dora is a proud member of the Young Democrats of Wisconsin, an Emerge Wisconsin alumna (Class of 2020), and the chair of the Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus (as of 2023).
