Born on April 2, 1979, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Eric Wimberger grew up in the nearby city of De Pere. He pursued his undergraduate studies at St. Cloud State University, earning a degree in criminal justice in 2001. Following this, he attended Marquette University Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2005. After completing his education, Wimberger served in the United States Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate, achieving the rank of captain before being honorably discharged in 2010.

Returning to Wisconsin, Wimberger established his own law practice in Green Bay. His career also includes experience as a long-haul truck driver, bartender, and factory worker, showcasing his diverse professional background. In addition to his legal career, he is involved in his family-run candy store in Lakewood, Wisconsin.

Wimberger’s political journey began with his first campaign for public office in 2014, when he ran for the Wisconsin State Assembly. Although unsuccessful in his initial attempts, he persevered and eventually secured a seat in the Wisconsin State Senate.
