He declared his candidacy for the Wyoming House of Representatives and won the Republican primary on August 16, 2022, unopposed. His campaign focused on fiscal responsibility, community development, and preserving Wyoming’s unique heritage.

The general election on November 8, 2022, saw Andrew Byron emerge victorious, securing 57% of the vote. His victory marked the beginning of a new chapter in Wyoming politics. As a representative for the 22nd district, Andrew now serves on the Revenue Committee and the Travel, Recreation, Wildlife, and Cultural Resources Committee.
